Access Statement for Membland Guest House

Membland Guest House is a Victorian terraced house located on Pulteney Road, a short level walk of around 7-10 minutes to the City centre of Bath. We are also around a 10 minute level walk from Bath Spa train station and bus station. Taxis can be found at the train station.

There is one step up from the pavement into the front garden, the path has a slight incline to the front door where there is another step up into Porch and Hallway. The main staircase, situated further along the Hallway, is a single flight of stairs, with one further step up, to the first floor landing. There is a handrail on the left hand side of the staircase. We do not have any Bedrooms on the ground floor.

We have 3 double bedrooms which are accessed along a landing. Within the bedroom is a level accessed en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower with fixed doors. The wash hand basins have levers to access hot/cold water.

Free Wi-fi is available to guests.

Access to private off road parking is via Pulteney Avenue.

We have space in the courtyard for 2 cars and also provide, free of charge, residential parking permits for ‘Zone 2’ of the City which allows you to park in the bays on the roads surrounding the Guest House within that zone.

All bookings are confirmed via email or by letter. Method of payment is by card (debit or credit card) or cash. Deposits are requested at the time of bookings made directly with the Guest House.

Check-in time is between 4pm and 6pm. Check-out time is 10.00am. Medication can be stored in the refrigerator located in the kitchen on the ground floor. Membland Guest House is a non smoking house. There are smoke detectors fitted in all bedrooms and hallways. There are 2 fire extinguishers. One is located in the Porch just inside the front door and the second is located just inside the kitchen door on the wall.
